INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Before installation: Wallcovering and adhesive must be allowed to acclimate to room temperature and humidity for 24 hours immediately prior to installation. Room temperature must be between 70 and 80 deg. Farenheit with less than 80% humidity.

Porous substrates such as drywall and concrete block should be painted or sealed using an oil, acrylic, or rubber-based product. Polyvinylacetate-based (PVAc) products may re-emulsify upon contact with this water-based adhesive preventing proper adhesion. Areas of walls covered by a PVAc joint compound must also be sealed with an oil, acrylic, or rubber-based primer. Wall surfaces must be thoroughly dry before applying adhesive.

Rolled wallcovering material should be pre-cut to a maximum length of 12 feet and reverse rolled for 24 hours to remove "roll set."

During Installation: Maintain constant temperature and humidity control (between 70 and 80 deg. Farenheit with less than 80% humidity) for 24 hours before installation, during, and 24 to 48 hours after installation. Walls and wallcovering must be clean and free from dirt, grease, or loose paint or other foreign matter. Wall surface must be level. Remove high spots and fill low spots. Spread adhesive on wall surface only. Cover 100% of the area. Always spread with a notched trowel. Do not use a roller or brush. For wallcovering less than .040" thick, use a 1/16" square-notched trowel. For wallcovering .040" and thicker, use a special 1/8" deep v-notched trowel with a 1/2" space between V's. (Trowel can be obtained from supplier of this adhesive). Do not thin out adhesive with water or solvents.

For wallboard and other porous substrates, allow adhesive to dry for 30 to 45 minutes before installing wallcovering. For metal, plastic, and other nonporous substrates, allow adhesive to dry for 30 to 45 minutes before installing wallcovering. For metal, plastic and other nonporous substrates, allow adhesive to dry for one full hour (but no longer than 3 hours) or until most of the white color has changed to clear. Make certain wallcovering is properly aligned before pressing firmly into adhesive. Wallcovering that is lightly attached may be pulled straight back to be adjusted and re-adheered. Electric fans are recommended to hasten drying.

Always roll wallcovering with a wide laminate roller immediately after installation. Roll 100% of the area forcing air outward from the center.

Remove excess adhesive immediately from walls, wallcovering, and tools with water while adhesive is still wet. Dried adhesive will require use of mineral spirits to clean.

Always leave expansion clearance of 1/16" between wallcovering and door jambs, baseboards, ceilings, etc. Butt joints between sheets should be loose and unforced. Fill expansion gaps with colored caulk if desired. Increase expansion clearance to 1/8" when installing wallcovering near heaters, stoves or ovens and on cold exterior walls.

Coverage: 125 sq. ft. per gallon using 1/16" square notch trowel. 150 sq. ft. per gallon using 1/8" deep V-notch trowel with 1/2" space between notches.
